This shift moved Târgoviște from the second to the thirty-first position in terms of affordable food baskets. The price surge is largely attributed to significant increases in the cost of sheep cheese and green beans. In contrast, Piatra Neamț offers the cheapest basket at 93.9 lei, with minimal price changes over the four years. Overall, food prices have risen by 30.37% nationally, but Târgoviște's increase exceeds this average significantly.
