Romania is set to establish its first AI factory, RO AI Factory, by mid-2027, with significant investments in high-performance computing infrastructure. This initiative aims to enhance AI adoption across various sectors, including public administration and business. The project, coordinated by ICI Bucharest, will connect Romania to a European network of AI factories, facilitating resource and expertise sharing. The factory will support researchers and institutions in developing and testing AI applications. Victor Vevera emphasizes the importance of using AI responsibly, ensuring it complements human capabilities rather than replacing them.
