Orădenii, invitați să-l comemoreze pe Iosif Vulcan, fondatorul revistei „Familia”
Iosif Vulcan, a key figure in Romanian culture and founder of the magazine "Familia," will be commemorated on September 8, marking 119 years since his death. The ceremony, organized by the Greco-Catholic Diocese of Oradea, will take place at his grave in the Rulikowski Municipal Cemetery. It will include a memorial service and flower laying, attended by Bishop Virgil Bercea. Vulcan, born in 1841, significantly contributed to Romanian literature and culture, leading "Familia" for over four decades. He published Mihai Eminescu's early work and was a member of the Romanian Academy. His legacy continues to influence Romanian identity and culture.
