Oradea devine un oraș „pet friendly”: Un nou regulament permite accesul câinilor în instituții și restaurante, și amenajarea de căsuțe pentru pisici în cartiere (DOCUMENT)

The Oradea Local Council has officially approved a regulation making the city pet-friendly, establishing clear rules for pet access in public spaces and private establishments. The new rules, supported by all council members, aim to promote responsible pet ownership and encourage animal adoption. Dogs can be walked in public areas on a leash, with designated off-leash zones, while restrictions remain near playgrounds and schools. The regulation also allows businesses to voluntarily become pet-friendly and introduces behavioral assessments for dogs. Additionally, measures for stray cats are included, such as providing shelters and sterilization campaigns. Violations of the rules will incur fines, with increased penalties for serious offenses.
