Oradea a obținut locul 2 la Campionatul European al Vatmanilor

An unusual competition took place in Warsaw, where the best tram drivers from Europe showcased their skills at the European Tram Drivers Championship – TRAM-EM 2026. Romania was represented by a team from Oradea, which secured second place, becoming European vice-champions. The Oradea Transport Local (OTL) team, consisting of drivers Ionela Schipor and Florin Olaru, scored 5,820 points. The Prague team won with 6,000 points, while Sofia came third with 5,750 points. The championship emphasizes precision and control rather than speed, featuring various tests that reflect daily driving skills. The event included unique challenges like "Tram Bowling" and "Tram Billiards" and attracted 26 teams from cities across Europe and Australia. Oradea previously hosted the championship in 2023, marking its first occurrence in Romania.
