Ora oficială a lumii se schimbă din 2027. De ce se schimbă sistemul oficial de măsurare a timpului
Starting May 20, 2027, the International System of Time Measurement will no longer include leap seconds in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). This decision aims to simplify time synchronization for various systems, including telecommunications and digital services. Currently, UTC is based on atomic clocks, while astronomical time is determined by Earth's rotation, which can vary. Since 1972, leap seconds have been added to keep these systems aligned, but this has caused technical issues. The change will allow for a gradual increase in the difference between official time and astronomical time, potentially reaching up to an hour. While everyday life will remain unaffected, fields requiring precise synchronization, like astronomy, will need to monitor the divergence separately.
