The Capital Police conducted an educational campaign for foreign delivery workers, emphasizing traffic rules and their rights and obligations. This initiative aims to enhance road safety, especially after a rise in accidents involving foreign nationals. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that between June 2021 and June 2024, foreign workers were involved in 20 traffic accidents, resulting in 6 fatalities and 23 serious injuries. Additionally, the Romanian government plans to admit 90,000 new foreign workers in 2026 to address labor shortages in various sectors, including courier services and construction.
