Oprire reactor 2 Cernavodă: Unitatea se închide joi

The Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant has suspended operations after the controlled shutdown of Reactor 1 and subsequently Reactor 2. This decision follows concerns over water levels in the Danube affecting cooling systems. Despite government efforts to address the situation, including financial allocations for dredging, the shutdown was unavoidable. Authorities assured that household consumers are not at risk, and energy needs will be met through imports and activating additional national production resources. The Ministry of Energy emphasized that any industrial consumption limitations would only be implemented if necessary.
