Opoziția din Moldova inițiază procedura de suspendare a Maiei Sandu

The opposition in Moldova has initiated the suspension procedure for President Maia Sandu, accusing her of constitutional violations and mismanagement. Ion Chicu, a deputy, stated that the current government has significantly degraded the country's social, economic, and political situation. The opposition claims Sandu undermines democracy and has violated political impartiality and human rights. The initiative, signed by 46 deputies, has been registered for urgent examination. Sandu previously labeled the move as hypocrisy, asserting that it is influenced by Russian interests aiming to destabilize Moldova's sovereignty. The constitution allows for presidential suspension with a two-thirds parliamentary vote, which the opposition currently lacks.
