The operation to sink four barges in the Danube has been successfully completed, aimed at increasing water flow to the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant. The effects of this operation will be felt starting Sunday evening and throughout Monday. The last two barges were submerged over approximately seven hours, positioned to create artificial thresholds that redirect part of the flow towards the arm supplying the power plant. According to forecasts, the Danube's flow will remain stable until August 12, then gradually increase, reaching around 1,500 cubic meters per second by August 15.
