The General Directorate for Fiscal Fraud Prevention (DGAF) of ANAF has launched "Action ATOM" to investigate second-hand car dealers in Romania. The initiative aims to ensure that the economic activities of these operators are accurately reflected in their financial records and tax documents. In the first phase, 35 entities were selected based on a risk analysis, with a total estimated stock value of over 38 million euros. Inspectors will verify the physical presence of cars, their commercial origins, compliance with VAT regulations, and the accuracy of sales reporting. The action seeks to address risks related to undeclared income and ensure fair competition among compliant businesses.
