OpenAI will provide its AI-based cybersecurity system, Daybreak, to Ukraine for free to protect critical infrastructure from cyberattacks. The initiative comes as Ukraine faces a significant number of cyber threats, with nearly 6,000 attacks reported last year. Daybreak can quickly identify vulnerabilities in digital systems and assist in developing solutions. This collaboration aims to enhance Ukraine's already capable cybersecurity efforts, which have been under strain due to ongoing Russian cyber operations since 2014. Experts believe that while this support is beneficial, similar AI tools are already available from other tech companies like Google.
