In the first eight months of 2026, the number of registrations for individuals and legal entities decreased by 2.09% compared to the same period in 2025, totaling 94,078 registrations. Bucharest recorded the highest number of registrations, while Covasna had the lowest. Significant increases were noted in Călăraşi, Constanţa, and Giurgiu, while Alba, Dolj, and Tulcea experienced the largest declines. The transport and storage sector led in registrations, followed by wholesale and retail trade, and professional activities.
