In the first half of 2026, 46,283 companies were deregistered in Romania, marking a 5.69% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Bucharest recorded the highest number of deregistrations, followed by Cluj and Timiș counties. Significant increases were noted in Călărași, Galați, and Dolj, while Olt, Bistrița-Năsăud, and Vrancea saw the largest decreases. The wholesale and retail trade sector had the most deregistrations, with a notable decline in agriculture.
