OMV Petrom reported exceptional operational results in Q3, with a refining margin tripling compared to last year and a 10% increase in fuel sales. However, the company cautions that financial results may not meet expectations due to higher taxes. The refining margin reached $41.75 per barrel, significantly higher than previous quarters. Despite increased profitability, the company faces challenges from a temporary solidarity tax and price caps on fuel sales. OMV Petrom has invested over €2 billion in modernizing its Petrobrazi refinery and is working on a €750 million project for sustainable fuel production, expected to be operational by 2028. The company remains the largest integrated energy producer in Southeast Europe.
