OMV Petrom investește 1,7 milioane de euro în Arena de Canotaj

OMV Petrom will invest 1.7 million euros in the construction of Romania's first Olympic rowing base, the PETROM Rowing Arena, on Lake Pantelimon. The project, in collaboration with the Romanian Rowing Federation and Pantelimon City Hall, is set for development between 2026 and 2028. This facility aims to achieve international accreditation, enabling the hosting of European and world rowing competitions. The first phase involves creating a 10,000 square meter platform, with a total estimated cost of 3.2 million euros, partially funded by OMV Petrom and the Romanian Rowing Federation. Currently, Romania lacks an internationally certified Olympic rowing course.
