OMV Petrom has invested approximately 115 million euros to upgrade the electrical infrastructure at the Petrobrazi refinery as part of a broader modernization program. This investment aims to enhance the refinery's electrical systems to support current operations and new capacities, including sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and green hydrogen projects. The project features a high-voltage power line connected to Transelectrica, a new electrical station, and a distribution station, utilizing environmentally friendly Blue GIS technology. Additionally, a 7 MW photovoltaic energy project is underway at Petrobrazi, facilitating the integration of major ongoing projects.
