OMS solicită mai mult sprijin pentru combaterea epidemiei de Ebola

The World Health Organization has called for increased support to combat the ongoing Ebola outbreak in Congo, which is outpacing current response efforts. The outbreak has resulted in 3,802 confirmed cases and 1,707 deaths, with 275 suspected cases still under investigation. The majority of cases are concentrated in Ituri province, and the WHO emphasizes the need for financial and resource support to enhance treatment capacity and community engagement. A new strain of the virus, Bundibugyo, is responsible for this outbreak, and while there are no effective treatments or vaccines yet, clinical studies are underway with promising preliminary results.
