Omar Hayssam rămâne în România
The Bucharest Court of Appeal has accepted Omar Hayssam's appeal against his removal from Romania to Syria, citing health concerns and risks he may face upon return. Hayssam's lawyer argued that he suffers from advanced Parkinson's disease and requires medical treatment, claiming that transporting him by plane poses a risk. Additionally, it was noted that Hayssam has a four-year prison sentence in Syria. The General Inspectorate for Immigration defended the removal, stating that Hayssam's refusal to return to Syria could lead to him evading the removal order. Hayssam has been convicted in Romania for various crimes, including the kidnapping of Romanian journalists in Iraq.
