Olanda anunță prelungirea misiunii dronelor MQ-9 Reaper în România până la sfârșitul lui 2027

The Netherlands has extended the mission of its MQ-9 Reaper drones operating from Turda, Romania, until December 31, 2027, to support NATO's Eastern Flank defense. This decision was announced by the Dutch Embassy in Romania, highlighting the drones' role in air policing operations. The MQ-9 Reapers contribute to intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities for NATO. This extension comes as European allies take on more defense responsibilities previously held by the United States, which is reducing its military presence in NATO amid concerns of simultaneous conflicts in various regions. The U.S. plans to cut back on several military assets, including fighter jets and drones, affecting NATO's operational capacity.
