OFICIAL: Incompatibilitățile pentru personalul contractual din administrație, ELIMINATE. Legea, promulgată de președintele Dan
The Romanian President Nicușor Dan has officially promulgated a law eliminating incompatibilities for contractual staff in public administration. This law abrogates specific provisions from the Administrative Code that previously defined conflicts of interest and incompatibilities for contractual personnel. The changes mean that employees in public institutions who hold local council mandates will no longer have to choose between their jobs and elected positions. Additionally, situations arising between the enactment of the previous law and the new one will not incur legal penalties. The law was passed by the Senate with a significant majority, despite criticism from the USR party, which plans to contest it in the Constitutional Court.
