This change, outlined in Order no. 992/2026, updates the mediation process, which previously required in-person meetings. Taxpayers facing enforcement actions can clarify their situations with ANAF through this new method. The order also revises the forms used in mediation, including notifications and reports related to the process. The mediation procedure applies to debtors who have received a summons for enforcement and wish to negotiate their tax obligations. The enforcement process is suspended once the debtor notifies ANAF of their intention to mediate.
