Obiceiul aparent banal care ar putea crește riscul de cancer esofagian

A recent study indicates that consuming very hot beverages like tea and coffee can significantly increase the risk of esophageal cancer. The research, which followed nearly a million participants in the UK for 14 years, found that those who drink very hot drinks have up to three times the risk of developing squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus. The study highlights the importance of allowing beverages to cool before consumption, as high temperatures can damage esophageal cells over time. While smoking and alcohol remain major risk factors, the findings suggest that simply waiting for drinks to cool could prevent many cases of this cancer.
