Oana Țoiu: România susține redeschiderea Strâmtorii Ormuz, e parte din coaliția internațională

Romania is part of an international coalition advocating for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, as the blockade impacts energy markets and poses a risk of global food security crisis. Minister Oana Țoiu emphasized the importance of this issue, noting that many agricultural fertilizers are stuck in the blockade, affecting global supply chains. Romania collaborates with Middle Eastern countries and international partners through multilateral organizations and UN resolutions to ensure maritime security. The coalition, managed by France and the UK, includes around 40 states and supports the US initiative for reopening the strait. Oana Țoiu highlighted the need for free transit in international waters without taxation, as reaffirmed by US Secretary Marco Rubio.
