Oamenii de știință descoperă secretul celor care trăiesc peste 100 de ani: au un „scut” în sânge

Researchers found that people over 100 have a high concentration of CD4 cytotoxic T lymphocytes, which can attack tumors. This study led by Kosuke Hashimoto reveals that these immune cells increase significantly with age, particularly in supercentenarians. The research analyzed blood samples from 28 individuals across different age groups, showing that those over 110 had about 20% of these cells in their blood, compared to only 4% in younger participants. The findings suggest a potential link between these immune cells and healthy aging, although their exact role remains unclear.
