Oamenii de ştiinţă au construit un computer pe bază de ADN, capabil să efectueze calcule folosind miliardele de molecule dintr-o picătură de apă
Scientists have developed a DNA-based computer that performs calculations using molecules in a drop of water, offering a more energy-efficient alternative to traditional computers. This system, known as the Scaffolded DNA Computer (SDC), utilizes competitive binding between DNA molecules to determine the correct answer energetically. Although currently less powerful than conventional computers, SDC has potential applications in molecular data storage and energy-efficient computing. Researchers successfully executed over 700 calculations, demonstrating the system's programmability and reusability, with some operations taking up to 14 hours. Future work aims to enhance the design and functionality of DNA-based computing systems.
