Oamenii care trăiesc peste 100 de ani au un „avantaj” ascuns în sânge. Ce s-a descoperit despre secretul longevității

Research indicates that people over 100 have a unique advantage in their blood, specifically a high concentration of immune cells that can attack dangerous cells, including tumors. Led by Japanese researcher Kosuke Hashimoto, the study published in Cell Reports highlights the significant increase of CD4 cytotoxic T lymphocytes in supercentenarians. These immune cells, which can directly target certain cancers, were found to comprise about 20% of the blood in individuals over 110, compared to only 4% in younger participants. The study aims to better understand how these individuals maintain their health into advanced age.
