O soluție inovatoare ar putea combate criza apei în regiunile izolate. Tehnologia care ar putea schimba totul

A solar-powered desalination technology offers a solution for isolated communities lacking potable water. Researchers from Murdoch University demonstrated a small-scale system that converts saline groundwater into fresh water without relying on public utilities. This technology could alleviate the burden on rural areas that transport water during droughts. An experimental unit was installed at Wongutha Christian Aboriginal Parent-Directed School, which is too remote for connection to the water supply network. The system uses solar energy and has already provided over 7.5 million liters of water, significantly improving the quality of life for students and staff. The initiative is part of the WaterSmart Farms project, exploring sustainable desalination solutions for isolated communities.
