O simplă pilulă ar putea să vindece și cel mai urât psoriazis / Tratament oral inovator - așteaptă să fie autorizat în UE
Patients with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis may soon access the first oral therapy targeting the interleukin-23 pathway in the EU. The European Medicines Agency's positive recommendation is a significant step before the final decision by the European Commission. This treatment is aimed at adults and adolescents aged 12 and older, addressing a common inflammatory skin condition that severely impacts quality of life. The new medication blocks the interleukin-23 receptor, reducing inflammation and skin lesions. Clinical trials showed promising results, with a favorable safety profile, primarily reporting fungal infections as the most common side effect.
