„O reformă administrativ-teritorială schimbă radical structura partidelor noastre mari”. Semnal din Administrația Prezidențială după cerința lui Grindeanu pentru Guvernul Niculescu
The discussion on administrative-territorial reform is challenging within political parties, according to presidential advisor Radu Burnete. PSD leader Sorin Grindeanu urged Prime Minister Luca Niculescu to take responsibility for a reform project. Burnete emphasized that the reform is not only about cost savings but also about creating logical territorial units for modern governance. He noted that political parties must recognize the implications of such reforms, which could alter their structures significantly. While there is agreement among parties on certain changes, internal resistance remains a barrier. The need for a digital transformation in local governance was also highlighted, as Romania's administrative framework is outdated.
