O primă detonare, de „control”, pentru a devia cursul Dunării spre centrala nucleară de la Cernavodă

On Saturday, a controlled explosion was conducted to facilitate the diversion of the Danube River, ensuring optimal operation of the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant. The first explosion was a test to assess parameters for a larger upcoming detonation. Authorities aim to increase water flow to the plant, with further controlled explosions planned to displace rock formations. Local officials assured residents that all operations are safe and well-planned, urging them to avoid the work area. Additionally, complex hydrotechnical interventions are underway to enhance water supply to Cernavodă, including dredging and the controlled sinking of barges loaded with stone.
