O piață importantă pentru crescătorii români s-ar putea redeschide. Exporturile au valorat 14,3 milioane de dolari
Romania is nearing the resumption of live sheep exports to Libya, a market that generated approximately $14.3 million in 2024. Health certificates may be finalized this week. A Libyan technical delegation is in Romania from October 5-10 to assess the conditions for resuming exports. The visit is coordinated by the National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA). A meeting was held in Constanța with various stakeholders to evaluate technical conditions for securing exports. The delegation is reviewing biosecurity measures, animal welfare conditions, and logistics for international trade. ANSVSA President Alexandru Nicolae Bociu is optimistic about finalizing the necessary documents soon, with the first transport to Libya expected to follow shortly. Constanța port will play a crucial role in these exports, which are significant for Romanian sheep breeders, especially in Dobrogea.
