O pastilă pe zi poate reda culoarea pielii. Rezultatele unui studiu sunt promițătoare
A daily pill has shown promise in helping individuals with vitiligo regain skin color, according to a study in The Lancet. The treatment, upadacitinib, was tested on 614 participants and demonstrated significant repigmentation results, particularly on the face. While some patients achieved over 75% recovery of skin color, the treatment is not effective for everyone, with about 75% not reaching the main goal. Side effects included respiratory infections and acne, and long-term risks remain to be evaluated. Upadacitinib is already approved in the EU for eligible patients.
