The amounts will range from 300 to 500 lei, depending on income levels. This aid is funded by the state budget, specifically from the Ministries of Labor, Defense, and Internal Affairs. Pensioners who received the first installment in spring may not automatically qualify for the second if their income has increased. Additionally, the interim Minister of Labor mentioned that a well-prepared budget for next year could include pension and salary indexing, with no concerns from the European Commission regarding funding sources. The Council of Fiscal advises that Romania can meet its deficit target without raising taxes or freezing pensions, provided spending growth is controlled.
