O parte din cabluri au cedat. Momentele tensionate din timpul scufundării celor patru barje care au salvat Reactorul 2 de la Cernavodă

The operation to sink four barges on the Danube aimed to redirect water towards Cernavodă faced challenges, including cable failures during the first attempt. Secretary of State Irinel Scrioșteanu emphasized the high pressure on the teams involved, as they had only one chance to succeed. The first sinking took 11 hours, while the second took 7 hours. The operation resulted in two temporary barriers to redirect water flow, with an estimated increase of over 50 cubic meters per second towards the Old Danube. Scrioșteanu noted that the sinking is provisional, with plans for future extraction and ongoing dredging operations.
