Justrite Romania has been acquired by Italian investment firm Newport & Co, completing a transaction that removed both it and Justrite Italia from the American Justrite Safety Group. The deal, finalized on October 1, 2026, involves a full divestiture of Justrite Italia, which has been part of the American group since 2017. Newport specializes in acquiring businesses that larger groups decide to spin off. Following the acquisition, the Justrite name will gradually be phased out from products and documents, with current usage under a temporary license. Justrite Romania, established in 2003, reported a revenue of 37.37 million lei last year but faced losses of nearly 795,000 lei. Newport aims for long-term growth of the acquired companies, distinguishing its model from typical private equity strategies.
