O linie de tramvai care leagă două țări europene a fost extinsă cu 1,2 kilometri
A tram line connecting Switzerland and France has been extended by 1.2 kilometers with three new stations in Annemasse. The extension of line 17, linking Geneva to French locations, was inaugurated recently. The journey from the Moillesulaz border point to the new terminus takes about 12 minutes. This line, operated by Geneva Public Transport, first crossed the border in December 2019 and previously served around 11,000 passengers daily. The project aims to enhance public transport in the cross-border area and reduce reliance on cars, while also improving connections with local bus networks and Annemasse's city center. A park-and-ride facility is planned at the new tram terminus.
