Russian journalist Daria Shipachova has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for transferring money to Ukraine, accused of high treason. She also faces fines and asset confiscation. The trial was expedited, lasting only 90 minutes, and was held behind closed doors. Shipachova specialized in scientific and health articles, and her arrest followed threats from an extremist group. She was detained in April 2025 during a special operation and later moved to Rostov-on-Don.
