The former Air France attendant, Sophie Lainault, sought acknowledgment of her cancer as an occupational disease due to work conditions. The court confirmed that cosmic radiation, along with passive smoking and night shifts, poses cancer risks for flight attendants. Lainault, who has 12,600 flight hours, expressed hope that this decision encourages other women to come forward. The ruling allows her early retirement and full reimbursement for further treatment by the French health system.
