A former industrial hall in Făgăraș is set to be converted into a waste sorting and packaging station by BDC Recycling SRL. The project is currently seeking environmental approval and involves extensive renovations before equipment installation. The facility will handle various types of waste from economic activities, including hazardous and non-hazardous materials, but will not process household waste. It aims to sort, shred, and prepare waste for recycling, with an estimated capacity of 4,000 to 5,000 tons annually. The hall, built around 1980, will be adapted for this new function, promoting the reuse of existing structures in the industrial area.
