A Cluj-Napoca company, CALAMEARIC SRL, is developing a factory to produce construction tiles using a technology that significantly reduces carbon emissions. The TERRA-Q project aims to utilize recycled materials and achieve an annual production capacity of 600,000 square meters by 2029. Funded by the European Commission, this innovative approach eliminates traditional high-temperature firing processes, potentially reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 80%. The project is part of a broader initiative that includes 77 selected investments across Europe, aiming to combat climate change and promote sustainable industrial practices.
