The Czell Palace in Brașov, housing the local branch of the National Bank of Romania, will undergo urgent repairs due to visible degradation. The bank has initiated a tender for emergency works estimated at 7.3 million lei plus VAT, with a winning bid of approximately 6 million lei from Art & Resturo Building SLR. The project aims to secure the building and prevent accidents caused by falling plaster or decorative elements. Planned interventions include facade restoration, window replacements, and extensive roof repairs. Technical assessments revealed significant deterioration, attributed to time, water infiltration, and lack of maintenance, prompting urgent action after safety incidents earlier this year.
