A six-year-old girl from China, Lian Yunzhi, has set a new world record for solving a 3x3 Rubik's Cube in just over four seconds. She achieved an average time of 4.27 seconds at a competition, becoming the first female competitor to average under 4.5 seconds. The previous male record is held by Yiheng Wang at 3.51 seconds. Lian practices two to three hours daily and has memorized over 1,300 algorithms for solving the cube. Her mother emphasizes the benefits of this activity for her child's overall development.
