A 36-year-old woman from Cugir fell victim to a fraud attempt involving fake documents and AI-generated materials. Scammers posed as representatives of the National Bank of Romania and the Romanian Police, convincing her to transfer her savings. Fortunately, police managed to block the transfer and recover the full amount of 68,989 lei. Investigations are ongoing to identify the perpetrators, and authorities warn citizens to verify information received and avoid acting under pressure.
