The Arad factory, a key regional hub, aims to enhance local sourcing despite current reliance on Western European suppliers. CEO Alin Crețu highlighted the challenges in finding Romanian companies that meet the high precision and technological standards required for semiconductor manufacturing. The company is committed to developing local supplier capabilities and has established a dedicated procurement team to identify and support potential partners. VAT Romania anticipates a 30% annual growth and aims to transform its Arad facility into a center of excellence for welding processes, while also supplying components for scientific applications, including CERN.
