O ecotaxă din Bulgaria e de 14 ori mai mare decât în România / „Investitorii se uită spre România”/ „Bulgaria e cu 20 de ani în urmă”
Romania has a significant advantage over Bulgaria in energy storage, particularly in battery taxation. Bulgarian companies face a tax of approximately 2.81 euros per kilogram for industrial batteries, while Romania's rate is only about 0.20 euros per kilogram. This 14-fold difference has sparked discussions in Bulgaria regarding battery tax calculations. The Bulgarian Association of Electrical Engineers highlights that this tax disparity places local companies at a competitive disadvantage, potentially increasing project costs. The president of the association notes that the tax burden can account for 8-12% of project investments, and emphasizes the need for a more predictable business environment to attract investors.
