A Geran drone crashed and exploded near Brănești, Orhei, after hitting trees in a forest area. Police found debris over a 120-meter radius, including parts marked "Герань-4". Preliminary investigations revealed the drone struck trees about 10 meters from a road before falling and detonating, creating a crater approximately 50 cm wide. Damage from the explosion affected trees within a 30-meter radius, and two additional craters were found nearby. All discovered components, including a turbojet engine, were collected for analysis. The incident was reported after a loud noise was heard, leading to temporary road closures. No casualties were reported, and investigations are ongoing.
