A drone entered Bulgaria from Romania and exploded near a gas compression station, according to Prime Minister Rumen Radev. The explosion occurred about 100 meters inside Bulgarian territory, close to the former Kardam border crossing. The Romanian Ministry of National Defense reported that their radar systems did not detect any aerial vehicles crossing into Bulgaria. The drone crashed in a sunflower field, and authorities are investigating its type. No casualties or infrastructure damage were reported, and border police are reallocating resources to enhance monitoring.
