AstroForge plans to launch its Autonomy-1 mission in 2027, utilizing the Nova Pathfinder rocket. This mission will operate entirely autonomously, thanks to the Solo intelligent pilot system. CEO Matt Gialich emphasized that no commands will be sent from Earth during the mission, marking a significant step in space engineering. The mission aims to demonstrate Solo's capabilities in real-time decision-making while collecting telemetry data. AstroForge has previously launched two missions, including a cubesat prototype and a deep-space probe, although it faced communication issues with one of its spacecraft.
