This is the largest payout in the company's history, with over 60,000 global employees receiving rewards for the fiscal year 2026. Unions representing two-thirds of Micron's workforce in Taiwan have expressed strong support for a potential strike due to ongoing disputes over compensation. The bonuses include a cash reward of NT$1 million for long-term employees and an average total of NT$3.4 million for entry-level engineers. Micron aims to avoid a strike similar to Samsung's recent labor crisis, which raised concerns about chip supply and economic impacts in Asia.
